Air Shipments
To move some or all of your goods via air is worth considering. Transit time varies depending on the destination but is the fastest way of transport.

Normally, it is more expensive than surface freight but there are situations where even entire households may prove to be more economical when forwarded via air but it is usually used for urgent consignments travelling ahead of the main sea shipment.

The service includes: packing, preparation of custom-made airfreight lift-van, transportation to airport, customs formalities, documentation, freight, customs clearance at destination and delivery to residence.

Sea Shipments
As a common rule, household goods and personal effects are forwarded aboard modern containerised vessels. It is slower than airfreight but it is also cheaper; and therefore, most suitable for carrying the main part of an overseas move. It is also the most appropriate method of shipment for motor vehicles. T here are several options available concerning the level of service provided, the length of time taken for the journey and the reliability and frequency of the ocean carrier.

Here we provide a brief look to the options :

Full Container Load (FCL)
In this case the container carries only your goods and, providing the parking condition allows it, we will bring the empty shipping container to your residence in advance and all packed items can be loaded directly into it and sealed outside your home in your presence, giving you maximum security and a peace of mind. The sealed container will then be transported directly to the container terminal for immediate shipment. This method provides the fastest transit time as there are no delays waiting for other shipments to fill the container.

Very important: When loading a container on a public road please check if a permit is required. Advise all neighbours of the dates your container will be parked. Also check for accessibility, the truck is high and large, therefore, no narrow roads, low trees and adequate turning space for the driver are a requirement.

Less than Container Load (LCL)
This method is suitable for shippers who do not have a large amount of furniture to ship or are only considering shipping boxes overseas . Shipping Companies provide this service by consolidating freight from different shippers to a common destination into container loads. When shipping via LCL, the goods will be crated into purpose-made container (lift-van/cased) at our warehouse to ensure their protection during transit and then will be loaded inside a steel shipping container by carriers who we know offer only the best and most reliable services to your final destination.

Groupage Service - Shared use container
This service is provided by Universal Cargo to the most popular destinations worldwide. Several shipments to a common destination are consolidated at our warehouse and loaded into a shipping container. Because freight costs are shared, we are able to pass the savings on to you. The shipment of personal effects is packed at your home and then loaded into our removal van for transit to our warehouse. Here the effects can be stored up to two months free of charge, and loaded into the next available container to your destination. This option is the most economical but may take a little longer to reach the final destination, depending on our load. This is ideal if you are not in a hurry to receive your shipment.

Road Removals
Road transport is appropriate for moves from Argentina to bordering countries. In these cases we can also offer a door-to-door service carried out using purpose-built moving vehicles.
