CUSTOMS REGULATIONS

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Firearms

An authorization must be obtained from the Argentine Consulate of the origin country in order to import firearms. The owner must personally take that certificate to “RENAR” www.renar.gov.ar (Argentine Firearms Registry) and obtain a permit to import firearms.
Firearms must be placed near the door of the container to be verified by the Argentine Customs. The rest of the shipment may be cleared but the firearms shall remain under Customs custody until the procedure at “RENAR” has been finalized. This process may take up between 15 and 20 days. Once the customer has finished with this procedure, the Argentine Customs will release the firearms.

Certificate issued by “RENAR” (Registro nacional de Armas- Argentine Firearms Registry) that authorizes the entry of the firearms into Argentina.
